Fundação Estudar
For more than 16 years the Fundação Estudar has invested in education and the development of future leaders by offering scholarships for the best degree programs worldwide. The foundation provides scholarship holders unique opportunities to develop their careers and network throughout their professional lives.
Pró Criança Cardíaca
Pró Criança Cardíaca is a nonprofit medical institution that treats underprivileged boys and girls with heart diseases. Founded in 1996 by cardiologist Rosa Célia Barbosa, MD, the institution has delivered more than 10 thousand appointments, 800 surgeries, 250 cardiac catheterizations, inpatient treatments and other procedures. The medical institution takes care of, on average, 40 children per week and performs five surgeries per month, with a cost of R$12.000 per procedure. Throughout the last 11 years, the institution has grown and currently serves “little” patients from all over Brazil. The next step is to build the Hospital da Criança, an enterprise in Rio de Janeiro specialized in children’s cardiologic surgery.
